I was transitioning from work on a start-up and preparing to go back to a full-time corporate role when I began talking to lots of women about their priorities, how they were feeling about their lives, their families, and their work. I soon realized that we all need a boost.  We need to be lifted and we need to lift each other. These remarkable women - all of them - do their very best everyday to put every hour they are given to work for their families, their careers, their friends, their communities and their causes. While their efforts are gratifying, exciting and important, they are also overwhelming and stressful and sometimes it is simply just too much.

 

I began dreaming about developing a way to give some levity to these women seeking more balance, by making it easier for them to access the indescribable boost of energy that comes from connecting with friends, enjoying a quiet moment with a child at home, having a nagging ‘to-do’ taken off the list, creating a special celebration for milestone or holiday, giving someone just the right gift, watching children bond while playing a game, or sharing a family adventure to discover the majesty of our world or authentically connect with locals in a different culture.

 

I soon realized that many of these things take time and just the right sources because they are personal to the individual and are an extension of who they are and how their family works.
